Headphones may be used with stationary CD and DVD players, home theater, personal computers, or portable devices (e.g., digital audio player/MP3 player, mobile phone). Cordless headphones are not connected to their source by a cable. Instead, they receive a radio or infrared signal encoded using a radio or infrared transmission link, such as FM, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. These are powered receiver systems, of which the headphone is only a component. Cordless headphones are used with events such as a Silent disco or Silent Gig.
Sound quality, while not accurate, is fun and follows what most general consumers enjoy. The bass-heavy sound sacrifices clarity and causes some auditory masking. While it’s not quite an equal exchange, the reproduction of perceived three-dimensional space is quite impressive. Instrumental separation is perceptible, which is to be expected from the maker fo the Super X-Fi amplifier. Speaking of which, these have Super X-Fi holographic, meaning that they can reproduce a somewhat realistic 3D sound. Of course, take that with a grain of salt, but we found it to sound pretty good in our full review. If you’re looking to save some extra dollars, you can always go with the Creative Outlier Air which don’t have the Super-X-fi holographic audio.

The other headbands and sleep masks we’ve highlighted are excellent products, but they do require wires, which can be annoying when you are trying to sleep. If you really don’t like the idea of dealing with a cable, this headband is wireless, with a battery that lasts around 10 hours. You will still need to tuck the receiver under your pillow, but it’s a good option if you need to go wire-free, especially if you like to roll over a few times before falling asleep.
active sport earphones make it easy to work up a sweat and get your body moving with ear supports that wrap over the top of your ear to ensure that the bud will never fall out, even during an intense workout or sports practice. pick up a sleek travel case for your earbuds to that you can take your music on the road with you without having to worry about whether or not your earbuds will get tangled up or break and be sure to have a phone charger ready so you won’t ever have to miss out on listening to your favorite music.
For workouts I prefer an over-ear clip because it feels more secure, but Jaybird's rock-solid Jaybird Vista are also one of my top picks. At six grams per bud, they're ridiculously light, tiny, and comfortable. Jaybird's EarthProof encapsulated construction seals the components inside a tiny plastic bubble, so they can withstand full immersion. Their battery life is excellent, they have a sterling Bluetooth 5.0 connection, and the controls are simple enough for even an exhausted trail runner to remember. Oh, and they sound great.
While there aren’t any ear hooks as seen with the Beats Powerbeats Pro, you can still work out with the Outlier Gold. The IPX5 rating means they’re impervious to nearly all water contact, save for submersion. Outdoor athletes may enjoy mono-listening by placing one earbud back into the case. We highly recommend doing so. If you’re in a busy area as it’s important to remain aware of your surroundings.
